Probably one of the most important places for my research was Geneva, Switzerland where I had the privilege to LISTEN INTO A LIVE United Nations Human Rights Council Session! Michele Bachalet, a recipient of the Hillary Clinton award in 2019 and current Human Rights Commissioner, was presiding over the HRC. This was particularly impactful for me on a personal level as I had been inspired by her speech when she came to Georgetown's campus my Freshman year. Watching her on the Human Rights Council affirmed how interrelated my IR experiences are with Georgetown. Moreover, I was extremely grateful to have had the chance to hear her speak to such an intimate audience when she was on campus! Ultimately, it was a phenomenal, full-circle experience!
